HL Power System Pte Ltd (HLPS) was incorporated on 2 April 2007 and has a paid-up capital of SGD2,000,000 and is a GST registered company (UEN 200705386R).

HL Power System was a leading manufacturing generator set GOEM with the Singapore factory at 12, Tuas Drive 1, Singapore with ISO 9001. The name Highlander was recognised as a leading generator set brand with operating offices in the Asia region. HLPS, has its roots traced back to Mr Cheng Buck Poh who is the current Chairman of the company Hai Leck Holdings (listed in the Singapore stock exchange).

HLPS was 100% acquired by Mr Wemmick Lui and a leading China GOEM and became more focused in the engine business and genset rental business (fleet of more than 300) in China.

In the year 2014, HLPS was restructured, and Mr Lui became the major shareholder (87.5%). Mr Lui was leading the business (direct selling) in distributing Cummins Power Generation (CPG) generators in Southern China in his earlier years. At its peak, the CPG business (buying cost from Cummins) in South China was not less than USD120million per annum.

Over the years, the company has expanded into engine related business—like emission-controlled equipment (from Australia and Germany) which are used by Amazon (Data centres) , Cummins Singapore Plant , MAN Singapore Plant etc .

It has an established arm to deal with Genuine spare parts of Cummins, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Caterpillar, MTU etc.

HLPS is the appointed dealer for Engine Dynamometers from USA like World-famous brand of Taylor and PowerTest which are used by Cummins, Caterpillar, Perkins, MAN, Port of Authority (Singapore) etc in Singapore.

HLPS is also an appointed dealer for Mitsubishi generating set and aftermarket services in Singapore.

HLPS members advise on the genset business for Taiwan listed company like Solomon Technology Corporation (TPE 2359) and for Hong Kong listed company VPower Holdings (1608.HK).
